Internet

Broadband connectivity is available in every bedroom. Internet packages can be organised through the Village internet service provider, Access Plus. 

The internet services packages and pricing schedules are subject to change, as notified by the service provider from time to time.

Telephone connection

The telephone service allows residents to use any phone in the Village by entering a personal PIN number. This optional service is available to residents at RMIT Village by paying a setup fee of $55.00 which includes $20.00 in credits to be used. The account can be topped up at anytime online (residents are required to log on to the RMIT Village website) or in person at Reception.

The Village has negotiated highly competitive phone rates for residents. Usage is metered and charged to the resident's account.

The data connection fee is included in SAEX packages.  

Parking

Parking permits provide the holder with 24 hour access to a parking space at RMIT Village. The Village has limited parking available.

Parking permits for residents can be purchased per vehicle at $8.00 per day, $30.00 per week or $120.00 per month. Please enquire at Reception prior to entering the car park

Bed, bath and kitchen pack

Take the hassle out of moving in and let us do the shopping for you! Our bed, bath and kitchen pack includes crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, linen and more, so you'll have everything you need when you arrive.

Packs cost $421.00 and must be pre-ordered and prepaid at least 7 days prior to your arrival. Packs contain:

Contract termination fees

It is anticipated that it is every resident's intention to honour their residential agreement. Unforeseen events do occur that may result in residents wishing to vacate their rooms and end the residential agreement early. Village Administration will help residents find a person to take over their agreement, but until that is done the resident must continue paying weekly fees.

If you vacate the room before the termination date, or this agreement is terminated by the owner before that date in accordance with this agreement, you will still be responsible for the payment of residential fees to the termination date (or up to the date a replacement resident is found for the room), and the owner in addition may charge you an amount reasonably determined by the owner for costs incurred by the owner as a consequence of your early vacation of the room.
